I got into the greeting card business because of my Aunt Clara. Since I was a tot, she was always the greeting card champion. Every major holiday and birthday she had a sweet card for me. I anxiously waited for those cards in my mailbox.
Well, when I recently forgot to send her a birthday card for her 85th birthday, I was so pissed at myself. But then I remembered….there’s a card for that. Check ’em out:
1.When Facebook fails you again on the birthday front, you can send this bad boy from 55his. And btw, send a REAL card!
2. …Or my aunt. F’reals. Card by the hilarious Near Modern Disaster.
3. If you are into celebrating birth weeks and/or months, this card by Hennel Paper Co. will be perfect. That waiter at Chili’s doesn’t need to know the birthday was 3 weeks ago. Eat the cake, again.
4. Another great literal card by Near Modern Disaster. What better way than to document the facts?!
5. I’ll mark it on my calendar and schedule when I need to send the card next year. Pinky swear. Card by Chateau Blanche.
6. Say it loud and clear with this letterpress beaut from Dahlia Press. Inside it says “I forgot your birthday! Happy Birthday….a little late”.
7. I absolutely forbid you to send this letterpress card by Benchpressed to any senior citizen, otherwise you will burn in hell! haha Give it to a 13 year old instead, that’ll do the trick.
8. This letterpress card by Life is Funny Press might have been the better choice for me, hmmmm.
9. I have a handful of friends who I definitely know the birthday range, but over the years I honestly can’t remember the actual day. And therefore that makes me late every friggin’ year, so alas the perfect card by Constellation & Co.
10. This is my favorite self-deprecating card by A Zillion Dollars. And now I know what a dodo bird looks like too!
11. Shit, you must’ve been smokin’ something to have forgotten your best friend’s birthday. You best be getting them this card by Benchpressed.
12. Gotta love the humorous mind of Blue Barnhouse. With this card, enough said.
13. Maybe the only reason you were late sending a birthday card was because you just didn’t know. They hide it on Facebook, or don’t have Facebook…holy shit! As this card by Near Modern Disaster states, it ain’t your damn fault.
14. Riiiiight? It’s all a matter of perspective. Suh-weet card by Lady Pilot Letterpress.
15. Awesome library book inspired card by Constellation & Co. when you’re waaaaaay overdue.
16. By the time my auntie gets her card, it’ll probably be a week that has gone by. Because of course instead of sending the card, I took the time to write this post for y’all. Thanks, thanks a lot. Haha! Fun card by Violet Press and Paper.
